very cheap and convenient.
the bed was not comfortable.. the matrices might have been good , not really sure. but it felt like i was slipping on the side. No windows..
Our room didn't have a window, it was like a broom closet! The loud air condition could not be turned off. The kitchen was extremely dirty and full of used dishes. I would never go there again!
It's very conveniently situated. The security of late night entry is good. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable of what Sydney has to offer and services. Toilets and showers were kept clean.
Disturbed by music starting up at around 1am and going on until about 3am on 3 of the 4 nights I stayed.
Friendly stuffs and St. George St is next to this hostel so easy to access everything what you want.
It might not be the hostel but many customers are not traveller but worker or people who are lookin for job so it was difficult to exchange travel information each other. And sometime they drunk too much and my room was like a zoo....
Rooms were light, spacious and fairly comfortable with fridge. Good Location.
All other facilities were cramped, falling apart and/or dirty. Had to work hard to get the staff to be friendly (except one)
The sigle/double rooms have no windows and are very small. The mattress was very hard and covered in a thick plastic. The sheets were clean but smelt of bleach. The pillows were plastic and were filled with sponge like filling. The bathrooms were not clean as the day progressed. The lounge and kitchen area was dirty and dark with very poor wi-fi. Staff were helpful and pleasant.
Receptionist were very nice! And the location was perfect.
Some people hanging around on the street till after midnight. That's why I couldn't sleep very well.
Reseanable price site rooms and bathrooms
Kitchen no boilers in rooms take your own soap and towels airport connect e mail reply internet connection was weak in rooms
Free wifi, roof top with couch and free bbq, alcohol allowed on the roof top. Bathroom in the room and fridge in the room.
Bathroom not always very clean.
it is close the city center, very convenient public transportation.
no window. fire alarm in mid-night. wifi quality is low. very cold in night.
On the positive side the location is excellent and the price reasonable for central Sydney
Beds a bit hard and the Tv did not work, nor could the staff get it to work.
room without window, hot and sticky
It was located right in the centre of the city (right by town hall station) close to shops, bars and places to eat although these were mostly all fast food places.
Staff weren't very friendly. Hardly any plates etc in the kitchen. Shower/toilet floors were dirty. Right by a noisey bar so don't expect to get much sleep if you are staying in a front dorm. Didnt see the rooms get cleaned once in the time I was there.
Location and free wifi
The rooms need a better ventilation system, as the room has not windows, even in a double bed room the smell was like the one of a 8 bed shared dorm after a few days of stays ( = awful)
Staff were courteous.
Mattresses are rock hard pillows very then and made for nursing homes so they have a coating making them so slippery they fall out from under your head. I was there during a very muggy weekend and the room I had was not air conditioned and was situated above a Korean bbq exhaust vents. There was no air movement. The guy next to me locked himself out and was banging on his door for half an hour trying to wake his wife. All up I would not recommend staying there.
